The "Post It" Strategy!

This year, all the English Language Arts (ELA) teachers and myself got together to put together a cool strategy that we are all using in our class.  The "Post It" strategy allows the students to use post-it notes to identify key elements of a story, book, or passage we are reading while still using some of today's terminology, such as "IDK," "LOL," and "#."   We are believing that this strategy will help our students identify key parts of the story while having fun using the post it notes.  Students will see that each of the ELA classrooms have a "Post It" poster displayed.  This is what our "Post It" posters look like:
