Some of the texts we have been "Tackling" are procedural texts which walk us step by step through a process of doing something.  One of those texts was learning how to make "Fettuccine Alfredo."  After successfully reading the passage, using our "Tackle" strategy to read and answer the questions correctly, the students then made the food by reading each of the directions and following the procedures.  Some learned that the cooking of noodles can take longer than expected and will come out a bit tough/crunchy if not left to boil long enough.  Over all, we had a great time learning the step by step process for making Fettuccine Alfredo!
